It will be the national portal for investor-startup matchmaking and act as a single gateway to access information required by the startup ecosystem from central/state government departments. The Platform also intends to be developed into a knowledge hub for potential Entrepreneurs for beginning their journey.
A strong support is needed for the innovations to become great. This portal provides that by providing right audience to the startups and investors. This will be the best way to get noticed by various segments of the investing options like VCs, PEs, etc.
This is only a matchmaking platform and its intent to bring startups and investors on a common meeting place. Registering on this website shall not guarantee or ensure funding. The individual deals shall be evaluated and negotiated outside this platform. SIDBI shall not be responsible for any terms and agreement between the parties and shall not create or maintain any details/reasons, except the outcome, which will be entered and/or used by either the investors or Startups for reference/MIS purposes only.
This platform enables the perfect match for the startups and investors to create a healthy ecosystem where investors add value to the startups in various ways like facilitating smooth operations in different departments of the startups and upscaling the efficiency. The portal will be the hub of all interactions across various modules facilitated between several stakeholders.
The startups should be recognized by the DPIIT. Following criteria will be considered for the same:
The startups need to have valid documents to register in Startup India Portal (https://www.startupindia.gov.in/). The Startup needs to be mandatorily registered with DPIIT. There is no additional criteria of period or turnover except those required for DPIIT Registration as a startup. You will have to use your Startup India credentials (login ID and password) to register in this portal.
The process will be transparent. It will be moderated where the selected startups will get the funds post approval from the investors. There are 100+ parameters that assures the correct portrayal of the startups to the investors. Based on the same, decision shall be made by the investors. SIDBI will have no role in the decision-making process.
